Campbell transfer Anthony Dell’Orso commits to Arizona

Earlier this week on Instagram (@collegehoopsoutlet) I posted my Way-Too-Early Top 25. I didn’t include Arizona, to many people’s dismays. It’s safe to say if I posted one now, after the commitment of Campbell transfer Anthony Dell’Orso, Arizona would be included, and relatively high up. At Campbell, Dell’Orso averaged 12.5 ppg and 5.8 rpg as a freshman before becoming a star this past season as a sophomore, averaging 19.5 ppg and 6.5 rpg. Dell’Orso is a 6-6 wing with guard skills that can score any way he likes (49.2 FG% and 38.0 3P%) and has the ability to become 2024-25’s Dalton Knecht. If you haven’t heard Anthony Dell’Orso’s name before, now you have. Future All-American.

Seton Hall transfer Kadary Richmond joins Big East rivals St. John’s

On Monday, St. John’s added Utah point guard Deivon Smith via the transfer portal. Rick Pitino decided that wouldn’t be enough though, picking up Kadary Richmond in a cross-conference transfer from Seton Hall. Richmond was the do-it-all, senior leader for the NIT champs, leading the team in PPG (15.7), RPG (7.0), APG (5.1), and SPG (2.2). Now combining with Smith, there may not be another backcourt duo in the country that can set up their teammates for success quite the way these two do. If Pitino can land a couple shooters and another post presence, he’ll have a very dangerous team in the Big East.

Other Things to Note:

  • Florida State transfer Primo Spears (11 ppg) commits to UTSA
  • DePaul transfer Elijah Fisher (10 ppg, 4 rpg) commits to Pacific
  • DePaul transfer K.T. Raimey (7 ppg) commits to UTRGV
  • Quinnipiac transfer Rihards Vavers (8 ppg, 3 rpg) commits to Washington State
  • Dartmouth transfer Dusan Neskovic (16 ppg, 4 rpg) commits to Richmond
