UT Martin transfer Cam Holden has cut his list to 6: Arkansas, Wichita State, Cincinnati, South Florida, Towson, and New Orleans.
Holden went in depth on each school with us and discussed potential fit:
Arkansas: “Great relationship with the head coach and winning culture which us on the rise now there. They play with a chip on their shoulder with I really like. I feel like I could continue the process of success there.”
Wichita State: “Great relationship with new coach coach. He recruited me while he was their assistant and now he’s recruiting me again. I see how he led the team to the NCAA Tournament in his first run as head coach and I know the future is bright there now with the program under him.”
Cincinnati: “Great core group and also have a great relationship with Coach Gee who was recruiting me since JUCO. That means a lot being recruited twice by a program.”
South Florida: “Great young core and beautiful location also. They have a great point guard who was a freshman this year and he’s a real competitor on the court. I feel that if I come in the program as an older guy that I can help them reach different heights in the program.”
Towson: “I have a wonderful relationship with the head coach. He’s a very high energy guy which is my type of coach. Towson has some great players already and I feel that I can bring a spark to their program and help them reach another level.”
New Orleans: “Coach Bailey and I have a really great bond outside of basketball. I feel that due to our relationship, I should consider UNO as a school for me in the future. He is a great guy and I would love to help his program get back to the NCAA Tournament.”
