Georgia Tech transfer Miles Kelly commits to Auburn
For those of you that have kept up closely with my offseason thoughts and predictions, you’ll know that I am a big fan of the Auburn squad Bruce Pearl has put together heading into the 2024-25 season. I may even have to drop a full article on that in the near future…
Regardless of your thoughts on Auburn heading into Memorial Day Weekend, they’ve now been strengthened on Sunday following the commitment of Georgia Tech transfer guard Miles Kelly. Kelly gives the Auburn backcourt another piece, something they needed after losing Aden Holloway, Tre Donaldson, and KD Johnson. Kelly was a major factor for Georgia Tech this season, leading the team at 13.9 ppg and averaging 5.5 rpg. The question for Kelly will be if his efficiency can improve, as the junior shot just 36.9% from the field and 32.1% from three last season. If Pearl can get the JP Pegues-Miles Kelly backcourt tandem to gel, the Tigers will be SPECIAL.
Arkansas lands commitment from Kentucky transfer D.J. Wagner
Bruce Pearl wasn’t the only SEC coach adding to his roster this weekend, as new Arkansas head coach John Calipari also got in on the action. Calipari landed a commitment from D.J. Wagner, a freshman guard who played under Cal at Kentucky this past season. Wagner started for the Wildcats but was largely overshadowed by the skill and flair of Reed Sheppard and Rob Dillingham off the bench. With a full year of experience now under his belt, Wagner looks primed to make a jump for the Razorbacks off the back of a season where he averaged 9.9 ppg and 3.3 apg. A backcourt trio of Wagner, FAU transfer Johnell Davis (18 ppg, 6 rpg), and incoming four-star freshman Boogie Fland will at the very least be one of the most exciting backcourts in college basketball.
Other Things to Note:

- Kansas commit AJ Storr (17 ppg, 4 rpg) withdraws from the NBA Draft to play for Kansas
