3-star Josh Farmer tells us he would be committing to The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). He is a 6-8 forward, and ranked 201st in his class in the 247sports Composite rankings. He is the second commit in the class, joining Lamin Sabally. We talked with him about his decision to commit there.

Why did you choose UTSA?

“I chose UTSA because they were the only school during the pandemic to create a bond with me and we all got to know each other personally, ever since then we’ve been in contact with each other.”

How will you fit in with the system there?

“I fit in their system because they let their players play and I’m coming in as a 3. I can go inside and out and the guards there are good at getting everyone the ball”

Were there any other schools that just missed the cut, or was UTSA the obvious choice?

“I wouldn’t say schools missed the cut, but they were hesitant on if they wanted me or not.”

What do you hope to accomplish in your freshman year at UTSA?

“I hope to come in and dominate with my skillset and get better as the year progresses.”

Do you have anything you’d like to say to the UTSA fanbase?

“We gone get real busy for y’all, just wait on it”
